Asparagus-Stuffed Beef Rolls

A delicious and visually appealing main dish where thin slices of beef wrap around tender asparagus, bathed in a rich sauce with Asian-inspired touches.

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity / Detail
Thin beef steak (milanesa or sirloin) 500 g
Fresh asparagus 1 bunch (thin or medium)
Soy sauce 1/4 cup
Garlic 2 cloves, finely chopped
Vegetable or sesame oil 2 tbsp
Salt and pepper To taste

Preparation Method

  1. Wash the asparagus and cut off the tough ends. Blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes and then transfer to cold water to stop the cooking process.
  2. Season the beef slices with salt, pepper, and the chopped garlic.
  3. Place 2 or 3 asparagus spears at one end of each beef slice and roll tightly. Secure with a wooden toothpick if necessary.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the rolls on all sides until the meat is well browned (approximately 2-3 minutes per side).
  6. Pour the soy sauce over the rolls in the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute to glaze them.
  7. Remove the toothpicks before serving.
